Newly Expanded Emergency Department Opens at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton has opened its newly expanded Emergency Department, significantly increasing capacity and enhancing the environment for patients, clinicians and staff.

The expansion adds approximately 8,000 square feet to the existing 5,500-square-foot Emergency Department and includes 19 additional beds, doubling the department’s bed capacity.

The new space also features a dedicated resuscitation room, bariatric lift room, new EMS entrance and decontamination room, additional clinical workspaces, a private workstation area for charting and consultants, and new ultrasound equipment.

The expansion reflects an ongoing commitment to meeting the growing emergency care needs of the Milton community while providing HMFP Emergency Medicine physicians and their colleagues with an enhanced environment to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
